While the name may drum up memories of a cafeteria, the ambiance of Exit 4 Food Hall brings you to a more hipster world. Along the perimeter are different vendors including a long standing raw bar, wood fired pizza joint and a well-stocked bar. While we opted to sit at the bar, a hostess will sit you at a communal table with a number to designate your bill.
In true mainstream hipster fashion, all of the trendy drinks are available, including my not-so-guilty pleasure, frosé. There’s a great selection of tap beers and tap wines as well. The menu condenses the various vendors, making it easy and fluid to order from. I opted for east coast oysters from the raw bar, perfectly sized and briney, and served with a zesty cocktail sauce and a mignette. Unless you find a dollar happy hour, you probably will not find a more affordable raw bar in Westchester. I went for the special, as I am known to do, an Asian-style duck taco. My compadres went for a sausage topped wood fired pizza and a lobster roll, equally as delectable.
All in all, if you’re looking for a casual but trendy place in Westchester, with all the awesome food your heart desires, stop by Exit 4 Food Hall. I found that the communal parking across the road is both free on weekends. Limited outside seating is available on weekends.
